​The Rooftop PTA plays a key role in fostering a supportive, engaging, and well-rounded educational experience. We work closely with the school's administration and school site council to fund the programs that make Rooftop special, bring families and staff together, and make sure every voice in our community is heard.

 

All PTA meetings are open to everyone including students, families, teachers, and staff, whether or not you're a member. Come share your ideas and perspective anytime.

Where your dues go
 

PTA-raised funds go straight back to Rooftop: sensory motor enrichment, the Twin Peaks garden, the art program, outdoor education, extra yard and support staff, community events, smaller class sizes for 7th and 8th grade math, and more.

Membership Dues: $9/member
 

About 30% of your dues stay with Rooftop and help fund our programs. The rest goes to the council, California State PTA (CAPTA), and National PTA, to cover things like insurance, training, leadership support, and advocacy for kids at the state and national level, all of which support our unit and keep us in good standing. When you join the Rooftop PTA, you're automatically a member at every level, from local to national.

Dues are waived on request - email pta@rooftopk8.org. Additional donations are very much appreciated and are tax deductible. We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, part of the California PTA (CAPTA), and our Tax ID # is  2 3 7 3 4 9 9 3 6.

Membership is renewed every year. There's no limit on how many people in a family can join, and caregivers, students, and other relatives are all welcome to enroll. Membership doesn't come with any volunteering requirement. ​​​​​​​​​​
